Women in Leadership: It’s time for change

It’s time for change, I think, in the way we think about gender, leadership and the world. I say this as someone that knows we’ve been talking about this for some time. I say this as someone that knows that gender has been on the a-genda in some industries for a little while. And yet, here we are! The structures, in many ways remain rigid, but the messages around the structures, remain important and, I would argue, needed. Why do we still have the gender pay gap? Why is the environment still not being taken seriously by many male-led industries? Why in 2016, was there a recorded 40.3 million people worldwide in modern day slavery, with an estimated 70% of these people being women and girls?

And where do we start to make a change, with structures in place, that are creating (in my opinion) more repression, not less? What are the answers here, other than just getting very very angry at the injustice of inequality that we see rolled out on a daily basis? Who do we email about this? (I’m only half joking).

I would argue, the first place to start is you. Heal you, as much as you can. Heal any blocks you have to sharing how you feel. Heal any blocks you have, to being seen, to being visible, to connecting with others. Heal any blocks to attracting money and prosperity into your life. Heal any blocks you have to accepting love, and to loving others. Heal any blocks to helping others, with compassion and strength. Heal any blocks you may have to kicking butt!

Because women, you deserve to kick butt!

You deserve to tell people how you feel, and tell them why! Tell them why they need to change, tell them why they need to listen, and tell them why they need to talk, and to listen, and to remember: they are also part of all there is! To remember, their actions are also part of all there is!

This structure is not working (n.b this is just my opinion). If we are seeing millions of people in poverty, in modern day slavery, world debt, the planet going rapidly down hill, no-one in my generation able to afford their own house (which isn’t great for anyone concerned, if even those with a degree and a ‘respectable job’ are still struggling to make ends meet), then I would argue, it’s the perfect time to kick butt!

It’s the perfect time to tell people how you feel about this! To tell people how you feel about what’s happening! To tell people how you feel about what you think should be happening, and what you think shouldn’t be happening any more!

It’s the perfect time to be a woman! It’s the perfect time to tap into the abundance of power, beauty, nurture, softness, fierceness, sisterhood, motherhood, expression, creativity, empathy, and above all, love, within the divine feminine! It’s a perfect time to suggest to the toxic masculine that there are other ways of living! That there are other ways of communicating, and leading! It’s the perfect time for change!

Divine masculine, we see you! We’ve got your back! Toxic masculine, please wake up! Our earth matters. It’s time for change! Women matter! It’s time for change! The next generation matters! It’s time for change! We all matter! It’s time for change!

It’s the perfect time… for change!

You are you! And *that.* is. Amazing!
