Following the trip to see the Banksy mural ‘Naked man, hanging from window’ on College Green on my Bristol Art Tour yesterday, it reminded me of some street art that I’d found a few years ago, that looked like a Banksy.. but was it? I can’t find anything about it online.
The artwork was on the pavement in front of a garage, and the art had the upside-down logo of Mcdonalds as the ‘M,’ the Twitter logo ‘T,’ the Amazon logo ‘A’ and the Facebook logo ‘F,’ with what looks like Banksy’s tag below this.
It was on Chandos Road, in Redland, Bristol, and I took the photo on 1st October 2019, and by the time I walked past the same spot on the 2nd October 2019… it had been partially removed! Removed in a shape that looked almost like a dinosaur… (see photo below) When I walked past again recently, there was nearly nothing left of it at all.
Luckily I still had the photos on my phone from a few years ago, so I thought it was time to put them in a blog and see if anyone else had either seen this/could confirm if they thought it was a (temporary) Banksy? Any thoughts welcome!
